Ceremony/Reception Venue
Given that most of our guests are from out of town, it was important that we choose a convenient location. So here we have it- ceremony, reception and hotel all in one spot!
We have chosen Midlane Resort in Wadsworth Illinois. The ceremony will be outside on the golf course, followed by the reception.

The Cake
This is basically what the cake will look like. The cake topper will be a monogram "C" and I may or may not use some lime green flowers as accents.
After the cake tasting, we decided that we will go with something kind of like this design, minus the flowers. The layers will not be aligned (each one is kind of rotated). The cake will be white with cannoli filling.

The original idea was to do a candy buffet, but staying true to my spirit of indecisiveness regarding this wedding, I saw the idea of a cookie buffet on The Knot and fell in love. When I showed my mom this idea, the first thing she said was "Do I get to make the cookies????" And so we decided to go for a cookie buffet. I think it will be a fresh idea for a lot of our midwestern guests and a way to showcase my mom's AWESOME cookies. She's pretty famous among our friends/family for her cookies.

15 dozen Chocolate Chip (My favorite and a classic)
15 dozen Sugar (Maybe add this: http://tinyurl.com/yko7ryd)
~8 dozen Oatmeal Raisin
~8 dozen Peanut Butter (possibly peanut butter kiss)
??? Lemon Bars (per request of the groom)
